Character Conversations // Alex

Character Conversations

Hello guys! Today, I have for you a very interesting character. He’s changed a lot from my original idea, but I’m quite happy with how he turned out. (Even if he is somewhat of a villain…shh, don’t judge. 😉 ) He’s not a talker though, so I just barely managed to squeeze this interview out of him…

Me: Welcome, Alex.

Alex: Yeah, sure.

M: So…Your full name is Alexandro Valdez, correct?

A: Yes.

M: Um…cool. Can you tell me about your daughter, Kass?

A: *sighs* She’s a feisty little devil. Can’t blame her though, since that’s how her mother was. Before she…

M: I know. You don’t have to talk about it.

A: …?

M: Never mind. Tell me how you became a Super.

A: It’s pretty obvious I am one, isn’t it? With all these scars.

M: Enlighten me.

A: Fine. I was on an airplane one time, and I was worried I wasn’t going to make it to my meeting on time. And to make things worse, it turned out there was a group of terrorists on board. I didn’t know that until too late though. They had poisoned all the food and water with something I later learned was glytaecin. My body reacted aversely, but I lived.

M: So, you didn’t die on the plane? I’ve never heard of glytaecin. And what about the scars? How’d you get those?

A: Slow down, first of all.

M: *scowls*

A: I did make it off the plane alive, but I’m not going to bother telling you how. I’d never heard of glytaecin either. And the scars…every Super has them.

M: I knew that last bit, I just wanted to annoy you. *smiles* All Supers have them and they glow when your powers are in use. Yours just look like normal scars right now.

A: I’m told I look quite fearsome when I’m all glowing.

M: *mumbles* Who told you that…?

A: *angry face*

M: Oh, heh, you heard that, did you?

A: Yes, as a matter of fact, I did. I have very sensitive hearing.

M: Super senses, right? Is it annoying sometimes? Not quite being able to shut them off?

A: *shrugs* Yeah, I guess it can get annoying. Kass thinks it’s super annoying.

M: I can only imagine she would. So, I’ve heard tell your a villain around this here Fallcoast.

A: Villain is a strong word. I think I’d prefer anti-hero.

M: …Anti-hero as in, you’re against heroes? Or, like, an actual anti-hero?

A: Whichever one fits my mood that day.

M: Right. You seem like a nice enough guy. Why would you choose to be of the villainous type?

A: *eyes harden* I didn’t choose. I was forced too. Nobody likes Supers. Thinks they’re only out to get people.

M: I know a few people who know exactly how you feel…

A: You’re talking about Lena and Jake, right?

M: He’s perceptive too! What can’t this man do?

A: *frowns* You’re lucky I’m not angry. Because if I was…

M: Let’s not think about that, huh? I’d rather ask some parting questions. What’s your favorite food?

A: *blinks* …Kass is a good cook, even if she won’t admit it. She makes really good lasagna.

M: *smiles* Do you have a job?

A: I don’t know for how much longer, but yes. I do. I’m a psychologist.

M: That makes sense. Okay…Do you own a cat?

A: *eyes widen* Don’t you even bring up that subject! You know I-

M: Alright, Alex, thanks for the interview! You can leave now. No cheesing off in my office, please. *smiles*

What’d you think? He’s a little cranky, but I still like him. He’s a great character write and I really love his backstory. Let me know what you think of him down below!

Character Conversations // Jake

Character Conversations

Hello guys! Today’s installment features one of my favorite characters in this new trilogy of mine. I hope you like him as much as I do! 🙂

Me: Hi Jake, welcome.

Jake: Hi, thanks. *takes a seat*

M: So, thank you for coming and all that. To kick it off, why don’t you tell me a little about yourself?

J: Well…what kind of stuff?

M: Nothing spoiler-y, please. Just, what you like to do, what you’re good at, family, friends, anything.

J: Okay…I live with my parents in a nice apartment building. Though, we have this neighbor who’s kind of annoying. But anyway, my Dad runs the tech firm here in town, and my Mom’s a social butterfly, arranging parties, meetings, and all that.

M: How do you feel about that?

J: *shrugs* I don’t know. I don’t really care for it, but they don’t really force me to do that kinda stuff.

M: Right, it’s just other stuff they force on you.

J: *blank stare*

M: Never mind. So you do you like tech like your Dad?

J: Yeah…I like working with computers. I’ve gotten pretty good at it too. I have a little repair business of my own.

M: Cool! So…I might as well just get on with it. You’re a Super, right?

J: Oh…yeah. How’d you know?

M: Special ways. You’re telekinetic and technopathic. But the only reason you’re techno-

J: Yes, okay, thank you, I know. You don’t have to go on. Please.

M: Fine. You’re going to have to tell someone sooner or later you know.

J: *scowls* Can we move on?

M: Whatever. I’m at least going to say this. Your Dad doesn’t just work at the tech firm, does he?

J: No.

M: He’s a villain. So is your Mom.

M: And so are you.

J: Fine, yes! You caught me. But I couldn’t care less about it! Villain is not the first thing on my top three dream jobs, okay?

M: I know. *grins* That’s why you’re secretly working with Lena.

J: *groans* Who’s giving you this information?

M: Okay, okay, I’ll stop pestering you. Tell me what you think about all the crime in Fallcoast.

J: It’s not like it can be helped. With the FIB in the center of town, it’s a pretty huge target for villains. Super or otherwise.

M: Wait, the FIB?

J: Technically it’s FIBS. Fallcoast International Bank…of Secrets. Most people have conveniently forgotten that part.

M: This bank doesn’t sound like a regular bank.

J: It’s not. I mean, it looks like it from the outside, and even on the inside. But Dad and Mom say there’s so much more deep down there.

M: Hmm…You wouldn’t be happen to be planning to…rob the bank, would you?

J: I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear you.

M: And I’m going to pretend I didn’t ask. Instead, how about some parting questions?

J: Sure.

M: What’s your favorite food?

J: Gyros with cucumber sauce. Mom makes the best homemade ones.

M: I love gyros too! What’s your favorite subject in school?

J: Probably math. It comes easy to me.

M: Lucky…Okay, last question. *grins* Do you have a crush on Lena?

J: *face heats up* I do not.

M: Really? Liar. You think she’s cute.

J: *eye starts twitching slightly* Think what you want. I’m not revealing anymore information to the likes of you.

M: Well then, Jake, thank you for this interview. It was a pleasure.

J: I’d say ‘any time’, but I don’t know if I’d care to go through this process again. *grins*

Well? What’d you think? He’s SUCH a fun character to write!! His backstory really makes him an interesting guy… 😉 Let me know if you like him down below!

Character Conversations // Lena

Character Conversations

Hello guys! So, I have some exciting news! These coming characters are from a new trilogy I’m working on! 😀 I love them all so much (they may or may not be mostly made up of villains/anti-heroes XD ), and I can’t wait to introduce you to them! This week’s character is my main character, Lena.

Me: Hiya Lena!

Lena: Hey! So, this is an interview?

M: Yeah, I’m so glad you could come. I have so many questions!

L: Well…*looks a little worried* I can’t promise to answer all of them.

M: *nods* I understand. More than anybody, believe me. Okay, so you live with your parents, right?

L: Yeah, we live in a little apartment above our bookstore, The Book Stop.

M: *sighs dreamily* I would love to live above a bookstore. It must be great working there, all the books, coffee shop, interesting people…

L: *smiles* It’s a nice job, definitely. I work the weekends and nights there whenever I can. Mom runs it fulltime. It’s a really relaxing atmosphere for me.

M: Bookstores have that effect. Okay, so I’m dying to ask…What’s it like being a superhero?

L: *looks very uncomfortable* Um…I…I’m not really a hero. Really.

M: *frowns* You are too. Just because it’s not a huge public thing doesn’t mean you’re not. But I was more asking about superpowers.

L: *chokes on hot chocolate* How do you know about this? Who told you?

M: It’s okay, I know things like this. Your secret’s safe.

L: *looks hesitant* Well, I guess the easiest way to put it would be that I was born with. *mutters* Well…Most of them, anyway…

M: You’re talking about the Elementia, aren’t you?

L: Do you have superpowers or something? Are you reading my mind. I know a guy who can do that, so it’s totally plausible.

M: *holds back a laugh* If that’s the easiest way for you to understand it, then yes. I am. But back on topic…What are your superpowers?

L: They’re…actually kinda generic, now that I think about it. Super strength, flying, and then the whole Elementia thing…

M: Elemental control seems like the coolest one out of those! I’ve always wanted to be able to control the elements. *sighs* If you were an element, which one do you think you’d be?

L: Ooh, well, Jake would probably say I was fire. *laughs* Which, I guess I can’t disagree with. I’ve always loved wind though.

M: I’m partial to water, myself. Who’s Jake?

L: He’s…just a kid from school.

M: Mmm-hmm. Just a friend?

L: Oh hush. Yes, just a friend.

M: You totally like him, don’t you?

L: *blushes furiously* Okay, so maybe I like him a little. So what?

M: Nothing. Just an observation of mine. What do you do besides saving the city from time to time?

L: I’m on my school’s soccer team. I also love running, reading, and self defense.

M: *eyes widen* You take self defense classes? That’s so cool! I took some as an extra curricular type of thing and…well, I’m not the best at it. But I bet you’re awesome at it. You know, with the whole vigilante thing you got going.

L: *sighs* I kinda have to be good at it. This city is a dangerous place. Mom forced me into so I’d know how to defend myself from strangers. And yeah, it does come in handy with ‘the whole vigilante thing’. *smiles*

M: *smiles back* I’ve always wanted to be a superhero. The idea of getting to help people, and in a super cool way? It’s so neat. If you don’t mind me asking a kind of…personal question, why did you choose to become a hero instead of a…villain?

L: *looks down* I…I don’t really know, honestly. It…just seemed like the right thing to do. I’ve always admired the superheroes from the movies, and when I figured out I had powers, well…it just kinda clicked.

M: So…why do you think so many people who are gifted with powers choose to be villains?

L: *eyes harden* Well, that’s an easy. Supers are illegal.

M: *raises an eyebrow* But…all of your news channels are always broadcasting hero/villain fights. Are you saying…?

L: *nods* They’re fake. Real powers are illegal. *gives a weak laugh* Real villains aren’t though. And they know that. So they try to cover it up.

M: Why do you think they outlawed powers in the first place?

L: *shrugs* Fear? I don’t know. Nobody really talks about it.

M: Your parents seem to think it a riveting topic. They’re always arguing about it, aren’t they?

L: *blinks* Yeah. They hate Supers. *eyes fall*

M: *gives a sympathetic look* Surely they don’t hate you. They’re you’re parents!

L: *avoids eye contact* I try not to think about what would happen if they found out.

M: I’m sorry, Lena. Let’s wrap this interview up with some parting questions. What is your favorite food?

L: *thinks a moment* I love chicken cordin bleu. Mom makes it homemade and it’s sooo good.

M: Do you play any instruments?

L: *cringes* I play flute for school, since Mom insists. I sound terrible.

M: *laughs* Do you have any pets?

L: *sighs* I wish. But my parents won’t let me get any.

M: Alright, thanks for the interview, Lena!

L: You’re welcome. *smiles*

That’s a wrap! So…What say you? She’s a pretty sweet character, and I love writing about her. Let me know what you think about her down below!

Character Conversations // Maggie

Character Conversations

Hello all, and welcome to the next installment! This week’s character is a bit shy, but she’s super sweet and I loved interviewing her. 🙂

Me: Hi Maggie!

Maggie: Hey! I’m so excited to get this interview started! Usually I’m the one giving the interview, so, you know, it’s kinda nice for a change.

Me: *smiles* I’m glad you could come. Now, if you’d have a seat, I can begin with the questions. Great, now, what can you tell me about your family?

M: *purses lips* Well, I didn’t really know them. Like…at all. All my memories from childhood are just…not there. I can’t remember anything from before I was ten.

Me: I’m sorry to hear that. I’m sure they miss you, wherever they are…But it’s no good dwelling on sad thoughts. Tell me about your job.

M: *frowns* Well, former job. *crosses arms sulkily* My boss fired me.

Me: Really? Why?

M: Apparently I had some footage that he didn’t like. And it would’ve been a great story too! I could’ve started climbing the social ladder! But nope. The high and mighty Brett Snider won’t have any of that.

Me: You…seem very upset about it.

M: *sighs* Yeah. It’s just…I loved that job, and I really wanted to prove myself. *glare* I still think it’s all that boy’s and girl’s fault.

Me: Markus and Paige? I…don’t understand. Oh, wait, I’m forming an idea. That footage was of something they didn’t want the world to see. But you were going to use it anyway. And that wasn’t even before the whole elf and minotaur attack…

M: *eyes wide in fear* Look, I know some strange things are happening, but I didn’t sign up for anyone reading my mind.

Me: I’m not…Never mind. What strange things do you mean?

M: *swallows* I mean weird creatures and magic and other things I have no idea about, that’s what. The girl came into my apartment with this crazy dude with a bow and arrow and a giant monster, and she wanted to hide there! But then they got in and…there were arrows flying and glass shattering and then…Well, I guess the boy saved us, but, if she hadn’t barged into my home in the first place…!

Me: Take a breath, please. Don’t go spoiling the whole story…

M: *stares* What?

Me: Just never mind. So, yes, they barged in. But you agreed to help them, right?

M: I did say I would…But I’m kinda rethinking it now…

Me: Understandable. Really. But I think you’re going to learn a lot more about yourself than you ever knew.

M: Are you trying to make me feel better or something? Because that’s kind of a weird thing to say.

Me: How about we talk about your interests. What do you like to do?

M: I like taking videos, writing news stories, and baking. They’re the only things I’m really good at.

Me: *whispers* I beg to differ.

M: Are you talking to a ghost or something? ‘Cause of all the things that have happened up until now, I wouldn’t find it hard to believe at all.

Me: No, I’m not. Sorry. So do you…did you work more in the newspaper or the news show?

M: I was working for the newspaper and I was enjoying it very much, aside from my boss. But I wanted to move up, so when I saw that fight in the alley…I had to bring it to the table.

Me: *nods* I get it. So, do you have somewhere to go since you’re out a job?

M: I can always get work at the strip mall in town I suppose. *sighs and brushes hair behind ears* It’s a bit of a step down.

Me: *is sympathetic* You shouldn’t worry about it. Believe me, in these next coming days, finding a job is going to be the least of your concerns.

M: *shrugs* I don’t know. Everything is all out of whack.

Me: Right now, maybe. But in the end, it will all work out. Trust me. *smiles*

M: Well, you can obviously read my mind, so…why not trust you, I guess?

Me: *laughs* If you’ll allow me a few parting questions?

M: Sure.

Me: Alright, what’s your favorite color?

M: The age old question. Not one I really like answering though…*blushes* It’s kind of embarrassing.

Me: What is it?

M: …Pink.

Me: Why be embarrassed? I like pink too! Don’t feel silly. You said you liked baking before. What do you like to bake?

M: I love baking all kinds of cakes. Cupcakes, bundt cakes, cheesecakes, spice cakes…I love them all!

Me: I am all for cake, to be sure. Okay, last question…It’s a little personal.

M: What?

Me: Are you seeing anyone?

M: *face turns into a strawberry* Um. No.

Me: *smiles gleefully* Okay, good. *whispers* I have someone in mind… Anywho, thank you for the interview!

M: *still a bit shaken* Oh! You’re welcome.

Maggie’s such a funny character to write. I love her quiet but spunky spirit. 🙂 What do you think of her? Do you have any characters like her in your stories? Let me know down below!until-next-time-1

Character Conversations // Drilidric

Hello all! It’s so nice to be back with this segment! You all seemed really excited about it, so without further ado, here is one of the most interesting characters I’ve managed to come up with yet!

Me: Hello Drilidric! I’m so grateful to have you for an interview today!

Drilidric: You are quite welcome, miss. I couldn’t be more delighted that you chose me for your first interview of the year!

M: I figured you would be the perfect character to kick it off. And first and foremost I’d like to put a little rumor I’ve been hearing to rest. So…is it actually true that you’re in multiple stories at the same time?

D: …Um, I’m not quite sure what you mean by that, but, I’m going to answer best I can. I do know lots of different people, from different walks of life, and I’ve been involved in many peoples lives. Does that answer your question?

M: Oh, yes…*whispers* He’s somehow managed to squeeze himself into four of my ideas! And he’s not what I would call a minor character…

D: I can hear you, you know.

M: …Right. I knew that. Anyway, what can you tell me about your family?

D: *panicked look spreads across face*

M: *shuffles vehemently through papers* Okay, sorry, that was a stupid question, forget I even said it. *gulps* Okay…I’ve heard from most everyone that you’re a very powerful wizard. Is that true?

D: *looks slightly less uncomfortable* Well, yes, you would be right. I am. I don’t feel as such, but I’m often told so.

M: Does that make you…somewhat of an outcast?

D: *smiles sadly* Yes. I was banished from Nore on several occasions and all my friends have turned on me.

M: *eyes widen* Um. Well. That’s…I’m so sorry…

D: *shrugs half-heartedly* It’s partially my fault, you know. I made everyone upset with me. Grant it I was being forced to do so by… *stiffens*

M: Please, just forget I ever said anything. *shakes head at how horrible this interview is going* Let’s move on to a lighter topic…*has to think a long moment* Tell me about your childhood.

D: *looks slightly relieved* Oh, yes, my childhood. It was a nice time. Peaceful. Nothing to worry about except if the girl next door ever noticed me. *smiles nostalgically*

M: Did she?

D: *laughs* No, of course not. But it didn’t matter, because I had my best friend, Zed. *eyes grow distant*

M: *eyes nearly pop out of head* Zed as in Zedidiah? The mad wizard behind all of the uproar in Nore?!

D: *looks sadly at me* Yes. The very same. *crosses arms* He didn’t always used to be that way. We lived across from each other in Fanastasia, went to school together. But…then I moved away and I didn’t see him for a good five years. We still wrote to each other, though. I still have some of the letters actually.

M: Didn’t you meet Vasi during your years away from him?

D: Yes! You’re quite perceptive, I must say. Yes, we all went to college together, me, Zed, Vasi, and Trich. It was a grand time, for the most part. But then…things happened…

M: *internal face-palm* Never mind. Let’s move away from the past and focus on the present. You’re working closely with Paige and Markus, right?

D: Yes, I’m trying to help them fight against Zed. And of course I would help them, Mar-

D: Oh. You probably don’t want me to say, do you?

M: If at all possible.

D: *stares at hands* Well. This leaves little to talk about, unless we want to venture into the more spoiler-y topics. Which I’m assuming is off limits?

M: *blinks* Yes. Well. Um, how about a few parting questions then? What is your favorite color? It’s tradition!

D: *tilts head in thought* I’ve always been partial to the color of gold. Though that’s not really a color I suppose.

M: It works. Where do you live now?

D: I live in a little apartment building in downtown Fallcoast. It’s not ideal, but I manage.

M: *feels a bit of pity* Lastly, are you going to stop Zedidiah from killing Paige and Markus?

D: *eyes harden* You can bet on it.

That’s the interview! Ah, it’s so nice to be writing these again! What did you think? He has got to be the most interesting character I’ve written about. Let me know what you think of him down below!

Character Conversations: Queen Kako

Hello dear bloggers! I am sad to say, but today is my last character conversation for a little while now. *sniff* But don’t worry! I’ll have plenty of other posts and such up. And when I’m ready, I’ll definitely be posting more CC posts again. 😉

The Evil Queen

Tries to kill Snow White

Has a magic mirror

Queen Kako of Nanova

Still beautiful

Is afraid of Snow White

Giving and generous

Can travel through mirrors

Me: Hello, your Highness.

Queen Kako: Oh, just call me Kako, please.

M: Alright, Kako, thank you for allowing me to interview you today! To start off, tell me a bit about your family.

K: Well, I live with my Mom and my brother, O, in a giant castle. Mom is nice, she cares for me. Almost to much. She plans everything out for me. She does the same to O…

M: It seems that your mother is a bit…pushy. Bossy? I can’t quite find the right word.

K: *sighs* Yes, she is both pushy and bossy. But I can’t complain. She keeps us safe.

M: I heard from your brother that you enjoy painting. He says you’re up in your room all day. Is that true?

K: Yeah. It’s kind of my escape from all the trauma of the royal life. But sometimes, I’ll spy on people through the mirrors. That way, I know what’s going on without ever having left my room!

M: …Explain?

K: Well, I can travel around through the mirrors and reflections. My Mom has a giant mirror in the throne room and O has one in his room too. Plus there are many more scattered all over the castle.

M: Sounds fascinating. Does that also mean…?

K: Oh yes, I can be in different places at simultaneously. Of course, there needs to be light and reflection around in order to do that.

M: What else do you do around the castle? When you’re not up in your room?

K: We have a big art gallery on the east side. I love wandering around in there. Someday, I hope to have a painting hung in there. Not just a picture of me. *makes a face*

M: *laughs, then pauses* You seem…I don’t know how to put it…lonely?

K: *looks away* I…I try to hide it. I can’t let Mom see or she’ll force me to another party. She knows I don’t like them. It’s a kind of punishment.

M: You have O though, don’t you?

K: He’s been acting strange lately…ever since his journey to Woodcrest Wood. He seems…off.

M: I’m…sorry to hear that. I hope you get that sorted out soon. *mumbles* It may take a while, but…

K: Did you say something?

M: Oh, no, I just talk to myself sometimes is all. So, I’ll leave you with some parting questions. What is your favorite food?

K: Poached quail eggs with red sauce.

M: Sounds…tasty. Do you like music?

K: Yes, I love music. The few times I actually want to go out are when we go to the symphony. So beautiful…

M: Can you sing?

K: *laughs* Only when I want to upset anyone nearby.

M: *smiles* Thank you Kako. It’s been a pleasure.

K: The pleasure is all mine.

There you go! She’s a really sweet character, but terribly shy sometimes… Thank you so much for reading! And if you’ve been following these posts, I thank you too for all your likes and comments! This has been such a fun segment, and I can’t wait to share more characters someday soon!

Until next time! ❤

Character Conversations: Prince O

Hello bloggers! Today’s interview is with a very generic character…Or is he?

The Prince of a Fairytale (take your pick of which one!)

Usually saves the damsel in distress

Sometimes arrogant

Usually boring, if we’re being honest

Prince O of Nanova

Still brave and handsome

Bored of his life

Arrogant and challenging

But deep down, sweet

Anything but boring

Me: Welcome, Prince O!

Prince O: Thank you fair lady! I am pleased to meet you. *smiles flashing grin*

M: To get down to business, who exactly are you? And can I call you O?

O: *hesitates* I am crown Prince Olistair Oleander Octavious Oakenragemanrivergaze. The III. And yes, just call me O.

M: *bursts out laughing* I couldn’t quite catch that last name…*pants* Could you repeat it?

O: *rolls eyes* Hilarious. And no. Moving on?

M: *wipes tear* Okay, so. You’re royalty, right? So what’s it like?

O: *sighs* Horrible. Mother makes me wear these ridiculous outfits and pushes me to attend all these balls and parties and…Ugh!

M: Well…you are the most eligible man in all of Paramythi.

O: Oh really! Poppycock. The princes of Nell and Omorfia and Gorgona…All of them are just as fine as me!

M: *shrugs* Well, you kind of are… The prince.

O: Just because I rescued a girl from a poisoned apple doesn’t make me a better hero. And I won’t lie, she was super cute…

M: So if you don’t enjoy all the finery and such, what do you enjoy?

O: I’d much rather go on an adventure with my horse, Haypenny, and meet damsels in distress than attend all those stupid parliamentary meetings and junk. Just the other day, actually, I was thinking about heading over to Prink. I hear Princess Orinthia is more beautiful than they’re letting on…

M: *rolls eyes* You seem kind of…obsessed with all these girls…

O: What’s wrong with a girl or two? It’s not like I’d actually consider marrying them. Mother’s already arranged that.

M: *stares in disgust* Don’t you care?

O: I suppose I care a little…but as long as she’s nice and pretty, I think I’ll manage.

M: *shakes head* Moving on…Do you get along with your family?

O: Oh, well enough I suppose. Kako’s always up in her room, painting away, avoiding everyone. And mother…well…She’s not not unkind.

M: *tries to decipher sentence and gives up* Okay. Do they know of what happened in Woodcrest Wood?

O: *looks choked* Huh?

M: You met a…fairy was it? Of the ruder sort and you with your arrogance somehow made her mad and she cursed you and…

O: Are you trying to make me angry?

M: *eyes widen* No! I was just…saying…

O: No. They don’t. And I don’t plan on telling them. Let’s keep it that way.

M: *gulps* Fine by me. Parting questions now. Can you cook?

O: I’m a prince! I’ve never had the need to learn!

M: *glares* Have you ever been outside of Fanastasia?

O: Not that I remember…the farthest I went was Woodcrest Woods.

M: *looks away* Sorry. Do you dread being first in line for the throne?

O: *shrugs* I’m perfectly fine with it. I don’t look forward to the responsibility, but I’ll be married by then, so I’ll have a wife to help me.

M: Alright, thank you, O, for answering my questions!

O: *smiles* You’re most welcome.

He’s been a really fun character to write! He’s kind of laid-back but still mysterious… What do you think? Thanks for reading! Until next time! ❤

Character Conversations: Fasaria

Hello all! We’re getting close to the end of my character list for my Imprint series…*sniff* But never fear! I have many more characters from other stories… 🙂

Master of the Genie of the Lamp

Kind and generous

Adventurous and brave

Loves the princess

Grants the Genie his freedom

Master of Tizini (or at least used to be…)

Quiet and thoughtful

Accident-prone but can be brave

Doesn’t ‘have time’ to be in love

Lost the genie in a dangerous portal-collapse

Me: Hello Fasaria. Would you mind if I interviewed you today?

Fasaria: I suppose not. But it really depends on what kind of questions you’ll be asking.

M: Um…regular ones? What other kind could there be?

F: Deep, intellectual, life-changing questions about the world around us and life in essence. Or small talk.

M: I don’t really know any…life-changing questions…But can I start off by asking you to tell a bit about yourself?

F: I was born in Alldinia as a poor boy. My mom died when I was four and I never knew my father.

M: So…you live alone?

F: I prefer it that way. Alone with my own thoughts and reasoning.

M: …How do you eat? And where do you sleep?

F: *glares* I’m not a punk who wanders the streets begging. I earn my keep by doing odd jobs when they’re asked of me. I can usually find work in the market square, moving crates, displaying fruit or trinkets, and stuff of that sort.

M: Being much of recluse (which I can understand!), how did you stumble upon the lamp?

F: *narrows eyes* How do you know about that?

M: I heard it through the grapevine. So, how?

F: *sighs* I was walking alone down the streets when an old man came up to me and asked if I could help him. I said yes, and he led me to a dark alley that somehow ended up in a cave. It still confuses me…How could I’ve walked right into a cave if I were in the middle of town?

M: Sounds like that man had some form of magic.

F: Ugh, magic…I hate the stuff. Not that it’s above my skill level of understanding. It is after all the most difficult gift to cultivate, and…

M: So how did you find Tizini?

F: In the cave of course. Then the old man trapped me down there with him. But I tricked him and stole the lamp before he could swipe it from me. The barbarian… And that’s when I met Tizini, who is not very nice, if I’m being honest.

M: Oh I know. Trust me. So he must’ve granted your wish, then, right?

F: I’m sitting here aren’t I?

M: You didn’t happen to lose him on purpose…did you?

F: Believe me, I’ve thought about destroying the lamp several times over, just so he would shut up about his ‘horrible circumstances’. But no. Losing him was an accident.

M: Huh…Well, thank you. I’m going to ask a few parting questions now. Do you like cats?

F: What kind of ridiculous question is that? And no, I hate them in fact. They’re always hissing from inside abandoned alleyways, and-

M: Were you born with any type of gift, such as magic?

F: Yes. The one thing I remember my mom telling me was how I had an incredible capacity of intellect.

M: Which is…?

F: *rolls eyes* Worlder…It has to do with the mind. I chose never to develop it very much though, only choosing a few skills to practice.

M: Okay…last question. *smiles* Do you enjoy inventing?

F: Oh, I love it! I’m working on a steam-powered hot-air balloon right now. Well, I’ve written the plans, but I don’t actually have any of the parts to build it yet, but I’m going to-

M: Alright, thank you Fasaria, for answering my questions!

Well…he’s quite a talker for a ‘recluse’… 😉 I hope you enjoyed! Until next time! ❤

More of a loner

Me: Hello, Pyrallis!

Pyrallis: Hey! How you doing?

Me: Good, thank you. So, I’m here to interview you today. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

P: Oh, let’s see…hmm…I live alone in the woods. *shrugs* Well, I guess not entirely alone. My mom comes to see me every now and again. Other than that though, I work alone.

M: Sorry to interrupt, but you said you work. I…I know for a fact you’re more into…

P: Stealing? Yeah, well it feels like work, so that’s what I tell people. And I’m pretty sure if I ever told anyone, besides you of course, that I steal for a living, I would get in huge trouble.

M: Yeah…*blushes* Sorry, I…I just can’t stop staring at that bandana. Covering your eyes. Why…why is it…?

P: *smiles* It’s definitely a conversation starter, huh? Keeping you safe is its main purpose.

M: *stares* Keeping me…safe? And how do you…see?

P: *sighs* I don’t. See, that is. I can’t really explain to you why it’s keeping you safe, but it is. Trust me.

M: *mumbles* It’s kinda awkward to have a conversation when you can’t make eye contact…

P: What?

M: Nothing. Anyway, so you steal for yourself, I know. But do you give to others?

P: Oh of course! It’s what keeps me from drowning in guilt. *grins*

M: *crosses arms* Well maybe you shouldn’t do it if it makes you feel guilty.

P: Hey, it’s what keeping me alive. Nobody will hire me because of stupid cross-genre laws-

M: Cross-genre? What’s that?

P: *sighs, evidently annoyed he let that slip* It’s what happens when two people from different realms marry and have…

M: *blushes* Ohhh…*looks away awkwardly* Um…sorry…

P: *sighs again* It’s fine. It was going to come out one way or another.

M: Well, I’ll…I’ll just wrap this up, if that’s okay with you?

P: Sure thing.

M: Where do you live?

P: In the middle of a forest in Kleftis. With lots of animals. Mostly squirrels.

M: Are you musically talented?

P: If you consider whistling musically talented, then yes. I’m practically an expert.

M: *smiles* Are you glad to be in the World now?

P: *considers* It’s an interesting place, a lot like Contemporalis. But I wouldn’t want to live here.

M: Alright, thank you, Pyrallis. *realizes something* Does your name have something to do with…?

P: Would you look at that, I’d better get going. See ya! *races out of the room*

Nice guy, right? Maybe a bit mysterious, but still, nice. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed reading! Until next time! ❤
