My Hiatus (+Updates of Sorts)

Hey all!

So, as you may have guessed from the title of this post, I will be leaving my blog for the month of June. Guess why?

Junowrimo! (any other fellow participants?)

I just don’t want to feel to pressured to post and write at the same time.

However…I will try to share my experience writing with you all! I’ll post in weekly increments and give a quick rundown of how things are going.

Also, since you all really wanted a CC post, I’ve updated my latest post about The Pied Piper with a short convo with him. 🙂 You can check it out here.

I hope you all understand and can bear with me in this. 🙂 Fun stuff is coming in July, so I hope you stay tuned!

Until next time! ❤

Character…Comparisons: Vasi

Hey all!

So, this technically still is a Character Conversation post, but I thought it would be fun to do a comparison because this today’s character is actually another character…Shall I explain?

“The Pied Piper” by Elisabeth Alba. This story, about paying those who are due, reflects a historical event. The Pied Piper may be a symbol of the children’s death by plague or catastrophe, or refer to Nicholas of Cologne, who lured away a great number of children on a disastrous Children’s Crusade. A recent theory ties the departure of Hamelin’s children to the Ostsiedlung, whereby a number of Germans left their homes to colonize Eastern Europe.:

The Pied Piper of Hamelin

Lures the rats out of Hamelin with his magic pipe

In the same way, leads the children away from Hamelin to there doom

Greedy and vengeful

Wears colorful clothes

A charismatic fellow who attracts lots of attention

Vasi from Avialist

Hates rats

Loves children and would never dream of hurting them

Kind, curious, and a rule-follower

Not into colorful clothes, but they’re all he owns

A shy, but sweet fellow who doesn’t like attracting a lot of attention

As you all wanted, here’s a bit of a conversation with Vasi… 😉

Me: Hello, Vasi!

Vasi: Oh, hi, hello…*laughs awkwardly*

M: *smiles* So, you’re from Nore, right?

V: Yes, born in Avialist, which is a province in Paramythi.

M: Interesting…Tell me about yourself.

V: *eyes widen* Um…well, I’m-I’m not really that good at it, but, I’ll try. I live in an old, rundown cottage out in the countryside. I try to stay away from the people. They don’t really like me…

M: *how could they not like you?!* Why don’t they like you?

V: Well, I guess I do kind of…kidnap their children…But it’s not my fault! I can’t help it. It’s how the story goes. Do they really think I like dealing with all those rats? *shudders* Ugh, I hate rats…

M: Uh-huh…So, you don’t have any children of your own then? Why else would you really kidnap other children?

V: No…I honestly don’t mean them any harm…I actually do have a child of my own, a daughter… *looks distant*

M: *gives a prompting look*

V: *returns* But, um. She’s…She’s gone now…along with my wife…

M: *stares at feet* I’m…I’m so sorry…

V: *leaps up from seat* No, no! Not that kind of gone…She and I…we’re-

M: Divorced?

V: Well, kind of…

M: *shuffles through notes, desperately wishing to move on* Okay, well, how…how about a few parting questions?

V: …Sure?

M: Do own any animals?

V: No, no, I’m not much of an animal person.

M: Okay, do you play any other instruments, besides…

V: *shuffles awkwardly in seat* No. Just the pipe.

M: Sorry…Okay, lastly. Do you think of yourself as a leader?

V: *laughs* Only if I were completely out of mind would I consider that true.

Hope you enjoyed it! Until next time! ❤

Hi all!

So, you may (or may not) have noticed I didn’t post yesterday… Sorry.

I was so busy yesterday, that I just didn’t have the time to even think about posting. We had a wedding shower, and things were chaotic, and…yeah.

So, sorry ’bout that. But, I do plan on putting a CC post up tomorrow, so, there’s that. 🙂

Until tomorrow! 😉

Book to Movie Wishlist

Hello bloggers!

So, I realized today that I’m actually out of characters to do the CC posts… *facepalm* Well, that’s not entirely true. There are more characters, but they’re in the second and third books, and I didn’t know if doing posts about them would be confusing or whatever… *shrugs*

So while that’s TBD, I thought I’d give you a short post of my book-to-movie adaptations wishlist. And just FYI:

So, that being said, let’s get it on!

The Grimm Legacy

It’s not a very well-known book, but I would still love to see it on the big screen. The idea is that there’s a special library that lends things instead of books. But they’re not just any things. They’re magic things

I just recently started reading this series and I’ve loved everything I’ve read so far. I have a feeling it would have a Narnia/Lord of the Rings feel if it was a movie. Also, there would be some scary CGI monsters…

The Candy Shop War

This would be such an interesting movie. So much is happening and things really get crazy toward the end. Plus the magic/candy aspect of it would be fun, visually. The characters are all really fun and intriguing too. It would be a twisty, turny, mysterious kind of movie…

This would basically be the best movie ever. Period.  It’s got everything. Mystery, intrigue, monsters, action, romance…

The Goose Girl and/or Princess Academy

Shannon Hale really has a way with mixing vivid imagery with action, so I think they would be really appealing, visual-wise. Plus the characters are amazingly written. All the action sequences would be really cool too, with the elemental control and such.

Okay, you knew this one was coming… But seriously!! This needs to be a thing!! It would be EPIC.

Well, hopefully that was vaguely entertaining… 🙂 Let me know what books you would like to see become epic 17-hour spectacles! 😛

Captain America: Civil War // A Movie Review

So, I very recently saw Civil War so I thought I would write a short kind of review-type-thingy (actually just me rambling 😀 ) about it (with no spoilers) instead of a Character Conversation. 🙂

This was possibly the most stressful, but complete awesome Marvel movie I’ve yet to see. 😀

There wasn’t really a major plot per se, but I think the fact that the teams are divided and fighting against each other is reason enough to watch.

It was really hard for me, because I felt that Cap was fighting for the right reasons, but…I don’t know. Iron Man just has a special place in my heart. His was the first Marvel movie I ever watched.

But the teams. THE TEAMS. IT WAS SO GREAT.

It was SO STRESSFUL. Spiderman was basically yes, and Ant-man…YES. Vision is also yes. Hawkeye, yes. SO MUCH YES. The banter between the different heroes was hilarious.

Of course, Tony and Steve weren’t doing much of that. It felt like hey were too dead set on killing each other that they didn’t have time for…talking? I don’t know.

Also, BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!! YES-NESS!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT ALSO NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I am having some major feels about him…to. much. feeling. I just…HELP ME.

This face broke me. It's the face of pure agony and, yes, yes, it just fucking broke me.

THE ENDING THOUGH. *chokes and flails* I can’t actually fully process what just happened. Like…wait WHAT?!

So yeah. Stuff happened.

Sweating bullets, Bucky feels, and PAIN. Which we all know means GO SEE IT. NOW. O_O

And if you’ve already seen it we can bawl and freak out together!!!

*fangirls extremely hard*

*faints, whispering unintelligibly about Bucky*

New Segment

Hello bloggers!

A bit of news; I’m thinking about writing some micro/flash fiction a few times a week!

I’m trying to think of weekly posts, so I can a set time of sorts on when to post. And I’ve kind of been running a blank for creative posts, and other stuff has been in the way of blogging and writing and such. 😛

So I thought I would ask you guys. What kind of posts do you like to read? Bookish posts? Writing-related posts? Something totally different? If you have any ideas, let me know in the comments!  🙂

Also, thank you all for reading my blog! You guys are great. ❤
