Yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve been blogging…

But I got a short and snappy tag for you! I really promise to be more active and have good posts on here…

You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

What I’m doing right now is a book bingo board, so I’ve got most of my books planned out. But when I’m not doing book bingo…I really have no system…

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

If I’m not loving it because there is stuff that upsets me or makes me feel uncomfortable, I quit. But if I’m just not loving…my OCD makes me push through. Yeah…but in some rare cases, I start to like the book then. 😉

The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

I am unusually behind on my challenge this year, (like…12 books…), so what I usually do is grin and bear. If I’m in a slump, I try really hard to get out of it!

The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?

This really kills me…I h.a.t.e. it when the covers don’t match… (the whole OCD thing?) But I usually try to just put up with it. And I don’t usually have the money to buy the whole series over again anyway. (Besides, I grow so attached to the old covers, you know?)

Every one and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?

My mom. She understands. 🙂

You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

Bite my lip. Fake a yawn. Clench my teeth. ANYTHING! Must. not. cry. in. public…

A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the sequel? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?!?!?!?

This usually depends on if I’m buying the series or I’m just requesting from the library. If I buy the series, I’ll re-read the first book. Or if I’m just requesting it, I’ll usually start remembering the first book once I get into it.

You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?

I’ve never been in this position, so I don’t know how I would deal. I would probably just lend it, even against my will. 😐

You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

I try to find a book that I’m feeling like. But if I’m really just not feeling it, I’ll take a break and focus on something else I enjoy.

There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?

I buy the books that are in the series I own. And if it’s a new book in a series, I request it from the library first, to see if I even want to own it.

After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

Guiltily… a fair amount of time before I get to them… I try though! There are just so many BOOKS!
